Publication Ethics
Commitment to Ethical Publishing
Bio-PLEXUS is dedicated to upholding the highest standards of integrity, transparency and ethical behaviour in publishing procedures. The journal expects adherence to accepted principles of scholarly publishing and responsible research practices from authors, reviewers, editors and the editorial board.
The journal has ethical guidelines for all aspects of manuscript submission, peer review, editorial decision-making, and publication.
Responsibilities of Authors
Original work which has not been published elsewhere and is not in consideration by another publication must be submitted and is the responsibility of the author. Research findings, methodology and supporting data should be presented accurately in the manuscript.
All authors listed must have contributed to the study and agree to the final manuscript. Authors must cite and/or credit the work of others as needed.
Responsibilities of Reviewers
The reviewer plays a part in the quality and honesty of the publication process by objectively and constructively evaluating manuscripts submitted for publication. Reviews should be fair, confidential, and within the expertise of the reviewer.
The reviewers should state any potential conflict of interest and inform the editorial office if any issues arise with originality, ethical compliance or research integrity.
Responsibilities of Editors
The responsibility of the editor is to oversee the peer-review process and editorial decisions in terms of academic merit, relevance, originality and ethical issues. The editor and editorial staff do not discriminate in editorial decisions based on personal, institutional or geographic considerations.
Manuscripts submitted to editors are treated with confidentiality, and any ethical issues are dealt with in line with the publishing process.
Plagiarism and Research Misconduct
Bio-PLEXUS considers plagiarism, data fabrication, data falsification, duplicate publication, citation manipulation and any other form of research misconduct unacceptable. Plagiarism detection software may be used during editorial review of articles submitted for consideration.
If evidence of misconduct is found, a submission may be rejected, corrections may be requested, retractions may be published, or other appropriate editorial measures may be taken.
Conflicts of Interest
The authors, reviewers, and editors have to report any financial, professional, institutional, or personal interest that might be interpreted as a conflict of interest with respect to the article in question.
Being transparent about any potential conflicts ensures objectivity and credibility of the scholarly record.
Corrections and Retractions
The Journal will strive to maintain the accuracy and integrity of the published record. If substantial errors, ethical concerns or research misconduct are noted, appropriate corrective action may be undertaken, such as corrections, expressions of concern, or retraction.
All updates after publication are tracked and referenced to the article being updated to ensure transparency.
Ethical Compliance
Research involving human participants, animals, personal data or other regulated materials must meet the ethical standards, institutional requirements and legal regulations. Ethical approval may be required, and authors should provide evidence in this regard as appropriate.
The journal may ask the author to provide documentation to support the article submission.
For Authors and Reviewers
All authors and reviewers should be aware of the ethical policies of this journal prior to involvement in the publishing process. Ethics and integrity in research issues may be addressed to the editorial office for clarification.
